Hello crafter's. How are you all? I hope you're all settling well into 2024.
Today I wanted to remind you that we don't just have to cut card and paper with dies. We can cut other materials too. I've a card for you using felt, which is also very tactile.
I'll talk you through this quick and easy card...
I started by selecting 5 different coloured pieces of felt from my new stash! There are many, many colours on the DRK website but this pack is an assortment of colours - perfect for this card.
I ran each piece of felt through my die cutting machine with the die. There's no need to change your plate configuration when using felt. Your usual configuration will cut through the felt like butter.
My die has 5 elements and therefore, you can get 5 cards out of this in as little as 30 minutes - amazing!
Next, I cut a panel of card approx 5mm smaller round each edge than a 6in card blank.
Place your largest piece in the panel and once happy with it's postition, stamp your sentiment.
Now, you can adhere this piece using any wet adhesive from your stash. No magic needed!
Then, bring in each piece in size descending order and stick down in the same manner as before.
Finally, stick your panel to your card blank and your card is complete!
I hope you like this card and tutorial.
Until next time, take care.
Love, Dani xx
