Hello crafter's! I hope you're all well.
We are in wedding season so there's a large demand for wedding stationery.
I think wedding stationery calls for some shazam, don't you?! Some glitz and glitter is ALWAYS necessary 😜
DRK have just the thing for that extra special touch. The beautiful 6in Metallic Paper pad is packed with mirror card, brushed mirror and non shed glitter card. It is such great quality and superb value for money.
Let me show you how to make this lovely wedding card using some of the lush Rose Gold non shed glitter.
----------------------------------
With an A6 card base in mind, I trimmed down a white card panel approx 5mm smaller round each side than the card front. I then trimmed down some of the Rose gold glitter card to approx half the size of this, like so:
Once adhered down using wet adhesive, I ran so off white silk ribbon across the bottom of the Glitter panel.
TOP TIP: depending on your ribbon choice, be mindful of where you place it. Initially, I had it lower so it was half way across the Glitter card but you could see the edge of it through the ribbon and it looked scruffy. So I raised it up to avoid this.
I flipped this over and secured it with some double sided tape.
I repeated this process with a slimmer ribbon in a complimentary colour to the Glitter card.
I then stamped my sentiment using the Dovecraft Essentials General stamp set
I stuck this panel to card blank using double sided tape.
I then created a flat bow by layering more of both ribbons together, folding and securing and placing flat on the card with the join in the centre. This was stuck in place with some double sided tape and adorned with an embellishment from my stash to finish.
TOP TIP: If making a card for a wedding, find out if there is a colour scheme and make a card in those colours!
Until next time, take care.
