Hello fellow crafter's. I hope you're all OK.
Today I'm sharing a Rustic Christmas card with you with the most discreet sparkle. Although simple, it did take patience as several of the steps are fairly repetitive. I'll talk you though it....
I cut down a piece of watercolour card approx 5mm smaller around each edge than a UK A6 card blank. I applied a generous amount of water to the entire surface of it using my paint brush. Then, I applied my colour from my Nova Watercolour set
Now, I stamped my snowflake stamp in stages. I used my stamping platform for this for precision. I stamped just several times then applied my embossing powder. I repeated this THEN heat set. I then repeated this process again - stamp stamp apply, stamp stamp apply then heat set. I repeated this until the entire surface was covered.
I now stamped my sentiment. I chose the 'Merry and Bright' as its bold and a great feature sentiment! Again, this required repetition. As before, I used my stamping platform in order to re-stamp in the same position as many times as necessary. Where it covered embossed areas, it resisted this, creating an effective Rustic appearance.
This completes the face of the card. All that was left was to adhere the panel to my card blank using foam tape for dimension.
I hope you like this card!
Until next time,
take care.
Love, Dani xx
