Hi crafter's. How is everyone?
I'm back with another really simple Christmas card for you today. If you make your cards, now is as good a time as any to start! When you're making so many, you want to make quick, easy cards. This card is perfect for that. I'll show you how...
I prepped my card blank first. I went for a UK A6 top fold. Alongside this, I trimmed down a piece of White Super Smooth 300gsm card to approx 3-4mm smaller than my card blank. I popped these aside for later.
TOP TIP: when working with alcohol markers or blending ink, always use super smooth card to achieve a smooth blend.
I stamped my Festive Door stamp onto a scrap of White Super Smooth card and coloured with my alcohol markers. It's only a small image so no precision needed. I used my Copic Alcohol Markers in C2 and C5, B69, B25 and B52, G14, G17 and G29. I then fussy cut this out.
I came back to my white card panel I prepped earlier and blended some Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide onto it, going heaver in the centre and lighter towards the edges.
I'll be honest, this didn't blend as intended and this was actually my second attempt. But, in the end, I quite appreciated it's 'Rustic' appearance.
I took a texture stamp from my stash and using a silver ink pad, I stamped all around the edges of the card panel.
Now, I mounted my panel onto my card blank using wet adhesive.
I stamped my 'Tis the Season' sentiment in place from the Little Red Robin and Friends a5 stamp set https://drkcrafts.co.uk/products/dovecraft-little-red-robin-friends-a5-stamp-set.
Then, I adhered my door using foam tape for some dimension.
This is the card complete!
I hope you like it.
Until next time,
take care.
Love,
Dani xx
