Hello crafter's. How are you all?
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with some of the new 6x6 Paper pads at DRK Crafts. I loooove a 6x6 paper pad!
There are 6 new designs and the first one I worked with was 'Cute As a Button', for which I have a card for you today.
Let's go through it....
I trimmed down a piece of the patterned paper from the Cute As A Button to approx 3mm smaller around each edge than my A6 card blank.
Then, I inked the edges with 'Old Paper' Distress Oxide.
Then, I distressed the edges with the blade of some scissors. (There are paper distressing tools that do this but give a far subtler effect).
Next, using some of the other pages from the pad, I hand drew some hearts and cut them out.
Alongside those and a doily from my stash, I also distressed the edges of these with 'Old Paper' Distress Oxide.
I cut a tape measure image for one of the pages in the pad and stuck this down, along with the hearts and doily, using wet adhesive.
Then, I stamped a sentiment onto kraft card from 'Dovecraft Essential stamp set - sentiments' and adhered this with wet glue.
To finish the card, I added a vintage button to keep within theme, and some pearls from the 10mm Adhesive Pearl pack.
The card is complete!
I'm really looking forward to working with the other paper pads from this collection. I can't wait to show you some projects using them!
